At Rasmussen College, our accredited Medical Assisting Diploma program prepares you to make a positive impact on patients’ lives while providing meaningful direct patient care. A hands-on curriculum helps you gain the relevant skills employers are hiring for, including administering injections, drawing blood, and assisting physicians with procedures. You’ll gain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and pathology as well as the basic concepts of pharmacology and psychology. An externship will provide you with critical, real-world experience and, upon graduation, you will be prepared to take the medical assisting certification exam.  Best of all, you can earn your Diploma and enter the workforce in as few as 12 months.  The Medical Assisting Diploma programs at the Kansas City/Overland Park and Topeka campuses in Kansas; the Aurora/Naperville, Mokena/ Tinley Park, Rockford, and Romeoville/Joliet campuses in Illinois; the Fort Myers, Ocala, New Port Richey/West Pasco and Tampa/Brandon campuses in Florida; the Green Bay and Wausau campuses in Wisconsin; and the Blaine, Bloomington, Brooklyn Park/Maple Grove, Eagan, Lake Elmo, Mankato, and St. Cloud campuses in Minnesota are accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Completion time is dependent on transfer credits accepted and courses completed each term.
